require an interest in the property that is being improved, you may receive more funds from one lender than from
another because of the percentages of appraised value to mortgage amount that they set. Some may only allow 75%
while others may allow you to borrow up to 90% of the equity in your property for a home improvement
loan.
Review the prospects
Before you make a final choice make sure you have enough
information on lenders to determine which one can provide the best source of funding. You need to review the
interest rate, face value of the loan offer, and any additional fees each lender may charge to service the loan.
Look at the lifetime value of the loan in order to decide which lender has the best overall rate for what you need.
You also want to make certain the offers you receive are valid and legitimate and that the lender has a good
standing in the community whether it’s in your local area or online.
