How to Avoid the Embarrassment
of a Bad Credit Loan
Don't be scared of a bad credit loan
For many people the idea of having to lay their credit
issues on the table to obtain a bad credit loan can be embarrassing. It’s not as much that they mind giving the information to the loan officer but
rather they feel embarrassed that other people might overhear their conversation or be privy to the
information that is included in their credit report.
There are certainly ways to avoid this embarrassment and
still obtain the loan you need for the new car, new furniture or any other purpose that comes to
mind.
Avoid Applying for a Loan in Person
If the idea of applying for a bad credit loan
embarrasses you, avoid applying for a loan from a local lender. This method of loan application exposes your
information to several different people who have “faces.” For example, you will probably give your application to
one person who will then give it to someone to do the investigative work including running the credit history-all
of this before your application even reaches the desk of the loan officer.
Keep in mind that this paper trail is likely to pass through other people as
well including mail clerks if you sent it in the post. If you are embarrassed about the state of your credit and
don’t want to have to see the face of anyone other than the loan officer, you want to avoid using a paper
application with a local lender.
Avoid Embarrassment by Using an Online Lender
You can avoid the embarrassment of exposing your financial and credit history
to those you may see in person by applying for a bad credit loan online. Not only is there no need to see anyone’s
face, but you also may find that the application process is automated so there is no need for your information to
reach the eyes of anyone other than the loan officer who will be reviewing your application.
In some cases it may not even be seen at all since many online lenders have
automated systems for processing applications. Regardless of how a lender handles applications, you can be sure
fewer eyes will view it when you apply online than when you apply with a local lender. In addition, the fewer
people that see your information, the less the possibility of embarrassment exists because of having your
information revealed as well as a reduced chance of identify theft.
Online Applications Pass Through Fewer Hands
Applying for a bad credit loan online
means your information passes through fewer hands in most cases. Even if the process is still a manual one, you
don’t have to look at three or four people you know have seen your credit information.
Choosing an online lender also reduces the possibility of others having
access to your information because it passes through a secure server and is not accessible to as many hands as a
paper application is. The convenience and security of the online process is certainly reason enough to choose an
online lender instead of taking time to apply with a local lender.
